Window regulator questions

1. Can you buy a new manual one? I can't find any online and my driver side is stripped out.

2. Can 1996 manual regulator be put into 1985 automatic doors? I want to swap rust free doors off a 85 onto my 96 but don't want to mess around with the auto junk.

I found one for my rear door a while back on ebay. Was not too hard to replace. I saw a 4 door 1998 with manual windows the other day at the pull a part. Not sure is there were any design change in the pre-98 to 98-01.

Since the 96 still has the vent window, the manual regulator should be plug n pray. I know that the 97-up is different.
If not, then I may have some renix era, USED OF COURSE, manual regulators I could sale/ship for a price.

Now here is another question though, are 2 and 4 door the same?

No, the 2 door regulator would be wider because of the size of the window it has to hold up.
