Wondering what could be stoping my xj from shifting past 4x4 part time. The shifter won't even move past part time what so ever. Any help would be great

You are pushing it over to the right, aren't you? It doesn't go straight back into 4-low, the shift pattern requires that the lever be moved to the right to get to 4-low.

Yea I tried moving the lever in all directions and nothing would move past 4pt

A broken or rusty shift mechanism, failed bushings, incorrect lever adjustment.
