roll cage pads?

just (finally) got the roll cage installed in my '88 xj.
Now dealing with painting and adding some padding
What do you guys recommend for padding?
I definitely want something that's sfi 45.1 compliant.
I typically don't wear a helmet when offroading, if I go with dual durometer padding, do I need a helmet?

any thoughts appreciated.

For paint use POR15. Roll cages are great but now you have steel tube you can hit your head on. You should were a helmet and have Harnesses for yourself and passengers. Padding just helps the blow.
