Re: Light bar mounting

i saw that but i have a sun roof from the dealer and they cut the roof rack mounts to far back so it would have to be a custom one.

i think I'm going to try and make a mount that uses the roof gutter clips like that second one but follows the roof line somehow so that way its sleek, but I'm not sure if i can make gutter clips by just bending metal.

and i wish i could build my cage now

Jcr sells roof mounts. Maybe you could use it (or the idea)

He might be talking about the gutter mounts for a roof rack. But yes, those would be easy to build off of. If you and Kevin cannot find another way to do it.

Re: Light bar mounting

Dirtbound offroad makes one that might work on your 41. Check it out. Call max and give him your actual width from end to end. It might work

Re: Light bar mounting

So I ended up just mounting it to the bumper for now. Ignore the angry eyes. They're a joke

Light bar mounting

That is the last place id want to keep that mounted, I'd rather not use a lightbar as a bumper

Re: Light bar mounting

Right. Shouldn't be mounted there for long. Went on a few trips already w it like slickrock and haven't hit it yet. Will just stay carefully for now

Light bar mounting

I'm thinking of fabbing a bracket to mount my future light bar/bars above the cowl area. Just above the wipers. Thought that might be a cool place to put it and glare off the hood(I have a white jeep) should not be an issue because the light itself would be in the sight line of the reflection off the hood.

Re: Light bar mounting

i whipped this up at work (dirtbound offroad) the other day

its 44.5" plate to plate should be able to mount your light bar off that. you would have to weld on some tabs or call and talk to max with measurements and i may be able to weld them on for ya.
