Top 10 things that piss me off when Wheeling.

10.People who show up late for a trail run.

9.Breakdowns at the trail Head.

8.People who bring poorly maintained vehicles to a trail run.

7.People who don't know how to work on their own junk.

6.People who spend way more then three tries at an obstacle when there is a crowd waiting.

5.Trying to spot a friend and then having 15 other guys trying to spot at the same time.

4.Drinking and wheeling.

3.I hate it when someone breaks down or rolls over on a narrow trail and won't do what they can to move it quickly.

2.People who throw beer cans and trash out on the trail.

1. People tearing up trails or going off designated routes.

Are those in any specific order?

x2 on the trail drinking and the littering. I also hate it when people go off the trail or tear up and break stuff.

I wish I was. Maybe next year. Don't worry about the accomodations...I get plenty of it here.

X2...And...The idiot with his over-blinged Defender who has no idea that he should have stopped at the wide spot 50 feet back up the trail so those who were going up could pass by.

Re: Top 10 things that piss me off when Wheeling.

11. Asshats in AWD vehicles who think they can actually take them off-pavement, then expect you to pull them out when they get stuck.

This happened to myself and a couple of friends a few months ago in Big Bear. Some tard had taken their shiny new Lexus RX330 up one of the trails and managed to get it hung up front and rear in a dip - basically, all four wheels were barely making contact with the ground and doing a really good job of just throwing small amounts of dirt around.

We walk over to see if we can help the guy out. He first refuses to roll down the window, doing the 'if I can't see you you don't exist' routine. Finally, after knocking on the glass, he rolls it down. We ask if he needs help; grudgingly he agrees. One of my friends gets a recovery strap; the guy freaks, screaming that we're going to break his SUV.

At this point, we give him a reality check: he's stuck and can either stay there and starve or be yanked out. His wife starts telling him that they need to be towed because she's fed up with having been sitting there for the past hour followed by telling us how we're going to hook up the straps. We ignore her, but the husband tells us to pull him to the *other* side of the dip. This is met with a gentle, "no, we are not going to pull you to the other side of the thing you're stuck on."

They start whining so we pack up the strap and tell them they can either wait for someone else to come by or be pulled out the way they came in. More whining about how they want to 'continue their drive', followed by more explanations of how they're only going to be towed out one way. Eventually they relent and we drag them out.

The wife then starts in on how 'we're supposed to help them' and that 'we're stopping them from enjoying the mountains'. We offer to push them back into the dip, at which point they shut up and leave. Typical idiot yuppie BS; just because the dealer tells you it's an off-road vehicle doesn't mean that it actually *is*. I hate them as much as the drunks in the sky-high F150s.

13. Chicks trying to wheel vehicles they know very little about.

Ryan, did you sneak in on an unofficial run up here or something? Same peeves here...especially the 'more than 3 tries' bullshit.

Large groups that won't let a smaller group of 2-3 rigs play through.
