Wife and I are trying to do the house thing in the next year. We currently have 4 vehicles, need to make that 2, so the XJ is on the block. Looking for $5k, and that is the come and get it price. Needs a few more things and I do not have the time nor space.

1996 XJ Classic
189k and change
Auto, Np231
Very clean for the age. When I bought it last year it was bone stock, still had/has the factory tape deck.

Things it has:
BDS true 4 link long arms w/tcase skid
Bilstein 5125's
Currie/Jeepspeed 5.5" Colis
Rubicon 3.5" packs
BDS 1" boomerang shackle
Extended stainless lines

Hp30
  • 4.88s (open)
  • Yukon 4130's w/ 760 spicer and full circle clips
  • Ballistic fab diff cover
  • Teraflex high steer/crossover knuckle
  • JKS tie rod/drag link
  • Custom cut RE TB and bracket
  • Lubelocker diff seal
Ford 8.8
  • 4.88s
  • Aussie locker
  • Spicer yoke adapter
  • Lubelocker diff seal
Advanced Adapters SYE
Tom Woods DS
35" MTRs maybe 40% tread, full matching spare
15x8 aluminum wheels, 3.44 BS
Bushwacker flat flares
Rigid Co front bumper
AJ's super rails
DPG sway bar tie ups
RE gen 2 discos
Hooker Blackheart stainless catback exhaust
'96 country seats
'97+ power heated mirrors

Things I did:
Felpro valve cover gasket
Felpro rear main and oil pan gasket
Mobil 1 synthetic blend oil and filter (might be Mopar)
New CCV lines and valves
New Autocraft battery
New heater/coolant valve (Mopar metal revision)
New coolant bottle
New power steering hose
New fan shroud
New Continental serp belt
New rear wiper assembly (except motor)
New windshield
New front calipers/pads/rotors
New rear caliper/pads/rotors
New Spicer ball joints
RE superflex TB joint rebuild
New WJ TREs
New UCA axle bushings

Things it needs:
Power/heated mirrors wired to factory switch
Rear passenger seatbelt replaced (have belt)
Alignment (decently aligned, steering wheel a touch crooked)
Rear Synergy shackle boxes installed (will lower rear to match front and correct shackle angle, I have the boxes)
Brakes bedded and probably rebled with ABS procedure (safe enough down the road but could be better)
Rear window trim (just never made it to the yard to pull one)
JCR nutstrips installed (have them)
'97+ front seat trim installed (just never made it to the yard to pull a set)

It will drive down the highway at 70, comfortably. Solid when you hit expansion joints at that speed, no death wobble. Will wander just a bit (alignment). Air is cold and heat is hot. Turns over right away every time, quicker than any XJ I have ever owned.

You do realize that with a house comes more room for parking and a garage to keep the jeep in, don't you?
