Vacuum reservoir relocation question

97 XJ Sport. No cruise control

I want relocate the reservoir and tie it off on the coolant tank. Looking at the diagrams I have, it seems the first connection that does anything is the connection to the heating/AC system, up near the firewall. Looking at my jeep, same thing.

All that extra vacuum line between the reservoir and heating/AC, can I just trim it off and toss it?

I think the cruise actuator tees off that line behind the battery, but I've never traced it out.

I believe you are correct, but I do not have cruise.

Yes. It's just a vacuum line. You can shorten it and toss the excess.
