Rear bumper attachment points

I'm planning on designing a bumper that attaches to the nutstrips where the hitch was for added pullability (that's a new word btw), but I'm wrestling with the idea on the other attachment points. Should I attach it to the rear bumper brackets or one that attaches directly to the "frame?" My thoughts are if I attach it to the bumper brackets, they will offer a "crumpability" if I get hit again.

What are your thoughts?

when i bought my bumper i was looking for the most mounting points i could find. the one i ended up going with used all 8 of the factory mounting bolts and then tied into where the hitch would mount up for a total of 14 mounting points.
