I just purchased ruff stuffs center section frame stiffeners and I want to install them ASAP but I still have the stock lower control arms. I read you just cut off the stiffeners at that point but I want to move to long arms within a year. Could I install the rest of the stiffeners later after I cut off the control arm mounts? Or does that make a weak stress point with flex? Thanks

I just installed those stiffeners. I cut off that forward piece you are talking about so it would fit better. They are only held on by a tiny piece of metal. Slice them off, when you go long arms, fit them up and burn them in. FYI Removing the factory lower control arm mounts sucks...so many layers and spot welds.

yea, not looking forward to pulling those arm mounts off. did the same, cut 'em where you need to. that piece of steel will be handy when you go to LA
