Are you going to insult everyone that has listed suggestions that don't work?

I believe I found the problem. I think you need a driver mod.

Based on past driver history of failure I would say this unit is the dana 35 / gm 2.8 v6 of the family.

The aw4 is a pretty durable transmission... at least for an autotragic.

Definitely do not hunt down my phone number at 3AM, text me about it, and then threaten violence when I am not helpful. It will not get you what you want.

I can't help it if you won't follow reasonable advice, apply logical troubleshooting techniques, or do your research on the Google. Instructions on how to clean and adjust the NSS are here on and are easily Googled.

A complete JEEP AW-4 Diagnostic and Service Manual with test procedures and trouble shooting charts is also easily located.

Re: Tranny won't shift into overdrive... TCM?

Did anyone ever figure out what could be causing this problem. I have a 98 xj also doing the same thing. Transmission was rebuilt about months ago. New solenoids, nss, convertor and etc. Lost overdrive all other gears work great.
