Half the time you can just rotate it and they will work again. Had a lot of issues with the 93-95s with that being the fix

Yeah the gears are different diameters.

Too close/not enough backlash and it will burn the gear up. They always look awful coming out after that.
Slightly too far away and it will do that too.

Really too far away and it just won't read.

Off to pick up the 98 limited parts rig...sounds like we may keep the seats to swap into the 97. Will put up a part out thread in the coming days. Not sure what all is good or damaged at this time, but will in the next day or two. If anyone has something in mind, shoot me a PM and will get a thread going in the F/S forum. Prices will be reasonable, and if I like you it will be twice as much.
