My jeep build with photos over the last few years.

So I can't leave well enough alone. Pattern is running towards the inside of ring gear. Backlash is set at 6 . Even with backlash at 10 it still runs towards tge inside maybe just slightly better.

Last night I button it up decided to call it good. Today ill move the pinion away. Just how much lol. Im thinking just just a fuzz .

I never took a picture drive sides on coast side is out opening lash up does help but not near enough to also stay in the 6 ball park.

Dana 30 nuts worked well. No complaints specially for free.

Backlash is super easy. After a few hundred times adjusting im starting to figure it out.
Also learned snug carrier caps is bad. First time I got it perfect. Tourqed caps to spec and had zero backlash
I set backlash at 6 with 150lbs of preload on passenger side bearing 100 on driver. Im guessing 100 because I did final lash setting passenger side to 150 loosening driver slightly

Sorry just noticed you replied.
Kinda drained today will head out and start tearing it down again

Was hoping to hit 70-75 at 3000 but this will work. Picture is in 5th

Thing feels amazing. It climbs at an idle very steep will almost die but somehow doesn't.

I think this was the better option over a 231/231 doubler or black box. Withocker cost would have probly been about the same as a black box.

Seems to be higher rpm then what the gear calculator are suggesting. Should work well getting to and from the trails. But I guess it won't go 80 on the freeway anymore.

Will run these on the dodge for a month or two while I gathered centers and rock rings.

Then step em down to 35" boggers or something for the jeep or possibly skidsteer 12x16.5s camso 753s

Wait. I'm confused on your last post... the plan is to toss these 37s on the jeep after a few months or to get 35s for it?

I dunno kinda liking the 37s on the dodge.

My plan was burn the 37s for awhile till I get tired of them then recenter wheels and get 35-36 for the jeep.

Tsl sx 36x12.5x16.5 is what my eyes on. I really like boggers but they are 14.5 wide in the 16.5" wheel.

The iroc has some good sizes but looks like a Ballon .

With it getting close to tax time I may get centers orderd soon along with pvc inserts as I've not found any localy yet that doesnt cost a fortune. I dont need 20'ft of 16" hdpe pipe.

I did the 03-12 dodge upgrade steering.
I could see this steering being retrofitted to a jeep

Not a huge fan of moog , price was to hard to pass up. Pretty impressive beefy stuff for 230 bucks shipped. I bought 2 sets.

I could possibly give the 37s a try on the jeep if I recenter before getting smaller tires. But I feel the chance of carnage would be high. Theyd be bump stopping pretty hard core on my rear fenders. Wich isn't horrible. So we shall see

Dumped fluid just about made 300 mikes on gears. All is looking and feeling good.

Then took a nap woke up couldn't get back to sleep. Fired up the torch removed the 8lug center free hand. Didn't turn out to bad
Wasn't sure this would turn out to well with the torch. The cut is right in a curve of the wheel. This is my 5th extra wheel it was practice. I may make a center to tack in the other four to run my circle cutter off of.

Coolest part about these wheels is I can pack just a spare tire and use winch to remove and install pvc insert.

Alittle bump stop and 37s might actually be doable without lifting .

Making inserts saves a ton of money but is kinda labor intensive.

I do have 5wheels and tires so I might figure out a roof rack thing.

Im alittle broke for a week or two so have to wait to order centers. To actually make this happen.

Valve core is a 3/4 hex i tried taking it off with my impact and twisted it off. Not sure how those these are anchored in the wheel.

Did a kinda long forget idaho trail today.
Bought 50miles mixed bag of terrain. Mud snow rocks.

New gears and locker are amazing so much easier to drive on the trail. Almost cheating

Snow and mud made it fun

Did you make it up what pwned the yota??

Did you have a spare axle shift to swap? What killed it?

Did you ever get around to bump stops? What about limiting straps?

On a side note, whats the deal with that ebay bumper you made? Whats it going on?
