Bumper/Receiver build and SFR shackles boxes

This is what I got done this weekend. Tie-in's cut to length and angle cut, full weld on the back-bone, trimmed the top plate to size/shape(bolted on for access to the welds for now), and started on the skinning. I've got some miter work to figure out now(last pic).

This was my factory bumper and a receiver I put on 20yrs ago, I have gained 5-1/2" in clearance overall.

It turns out the build itself is it's own best jig for the miter's. I have the "fish-mouth" done (it was*4) so now I just have to fit the other end. I used a small cut from my Ruffstuff spindle as that's what I'm trying to keep straight.

I'll add that the 1-1/2" solid spindle will help control heat/shrinkage/warpage. I am also working on mocking up the tire placement!

The only things I have used besides the plasma is my mig, drill press, and band saw.

Your good at not answering questions.
Im assuming since I watched you invest in a nice cutting tool that your probly working with something alittle nicer than a harbor freight flux machine. Was curious what it is. Blue yello green red. So many great machines out there today

My mig is a Miller and my tig is a Lincoln.

I picture a 252 in your shop maybe a dedicated tig why not a dynasty sp?

I don't know, they are both over 20yrs old and made from steel and copper instead of plastic and aluminum!

Pretty damn clean. Is there a pad under the arm. Good to see someone else with makita tools. Makitas 1/2" tools are incredible

I know it's personal preference, but why not put the tire on the other side to allow the rearview mirror to be more useful?
