Finally had time to swap a set of D44 Rubicon axles under my xj, The axles are out of a 2016 JK with 8,000 miles my buddy swapped out for a set of Rock Jock 70's.. I went with Artec trusses and Ruff Stuff perches and U bolts...

Did you have to do anything with the breaking? Stock master push the bigger calipers fine?

Those axles are known for breaking! Now as far as "braking" goes, it would depend on what year MC he's running now!

RPC Phx where are these axles "known" to "break" at? Passenger axle tube? So since your so wise what is a big enough axle to hold up to a 35 radial tire on a DD, if a HP D44, trussed and sleeved isn't enough? LOL your such a tool....What are you running under your rig?

I haven't drove it yet but I'll post up when I do and tell you what I find out. Worse case I'll have to swap out the proportioning valve to a grand cherokee that came factory with rear disks... With 35in tires the rear bias should be ok and feel good....

Much appreciated. I would love to do this swap as that's the width an xj should have been from the factory
