I just purchased a 97 XJ, actually my wife bought it for me because I am deployed. I currently own an 89 and previously a 91 so Im not new to the XJ's, but I was looking for information on the 97's like any problems that are common for this year or anything else I may need to know. Before I get flamed I am in the middle of the ocean and the connection is crap so please dont flame for not searching.
Thanks for the help.

Well, electrical can be a PITA. Otherwise, suspension is 99.5% the same

you will get driveshaft vibrations at a much lower lift height with a 96 or later than the earlier models. Other than that and the OBD II upgrade / some more intelligence and fault detection in the drivetrain electronics, not much change aside from body styling.
