do i need to use any kind of sealant when i install these? i was told to use the gasket maker stuff in the tube.. this didnt sound right or like a good idea to me.

figured sealant could cause problems in the system..

first time replacing plugs.

I just replaced mine.. I used permatex #3 around the edges... stuck them in (the permatex held them in place) then lightly tapped the center with a hammer just to seat them a little then tapped around the edges till they were seated flush... no dents or dings and all are in perfectly
