Cooling System

So I have read many threads and I am sure a lot of you have done the same, but I am curious???

I have a 92 what is the temp of the Jeep set up to run at?
Have I read correctly. Is it 200f?

I have read a lot about:

high flow thermostat housing vs stock
custom radiator vs cheapo plastic
high flow water pump vs stock

Still lots have cooling issues and some do not??? confusing to me???

I have just completed many repairs so I know there are no issues with the cooling (new radiator, fan/fan clutch, water pump and thermostat) and/or intake/exhaust (new banks cat back, new cat, banks header, 98 intake and new injectors)

Mine runs great (freeway, around town AC on or off) until I get into stop and go, lower speeds, then it goes up to around 220/225 next mark after the 210 mark, but never passes or gets into the red.

Thanks All

Confirm the dashboard display with an IR Temperature gun pointed at the thermostat housing, and in your case at the temp sensor on the head near the firewall.

About 195* - 210 is the normal temperature reading on the instrument cluster.
