Fat City Pre-Runner build

You should make some type of fan you can hook up to the air line so you can have a breeze on those days that aren't windy when your camping! Think outside the box think ghetto swamp cooler ;)

Hows this holding up? Any issues with the H&M stuff yet?

Holding up awesome!
We did 700 dirt miles on our Baja camping trip back in April. Then with litteraly zero prep, we loaded the cooler and pre-ran 300 miles of the Baja 500 course last month.

Both trips were 100% perfect. Never had to open a tool box (for my truck)

1000 flawless miles, knock on wood, It's hard to ask for more.

Here's a link to our April Baja Camping trip. Think I'll start a thread.

September 2011 update.

I love my truck...
Since the last post we've put over 2000, literally trouble free (knocking on wood) off-road miles in the last 6 months, 1600 of which were AWESOME Baja trips and thousands of hywy miles.

A couple things I've added in the last 6 months:

Needed a roof rack to hold our Kayaks for our April Baja trip.

Started out with a cheap aftermarket rack that sucked and decided to make a permanent one.
Thru-bolted and silicone everything.

The factory hanger bent one trip to Baja, so I added some steel to it. It bent two more times after the fact so I designed some super turbo kick ass hangers.

The truck came with some cobbled up shackles that the previous owner had hacked up out of stock shackles, so I whipped up some new one's.

I don't know what to say besides DAMN!

This build makes me wanna part out my jeep and get a super crew F1

Is that laser cut? Everything looks awesome. Will it be ready for this weekend?

I used to swear by all the old skool fab methods - torch, hammer, band saw, drill press, etc., but nothing beats CAD/laser.

looks like water jet to me.

Plasma.
I threw down the coin for a CNC plasma table and a kick ass new cutter a few months ago.
Not sure how I lived without it for so long....

Ah I should have looked closer, you can kind see the flack on the edges, Very Cool Project, I really dig it. I think those Lariat wheels would look pretty cool Gold or Bronze with the matte paint.

I like the wheels, but I'm in the hunt for some Gordon's. I need a tad more off-set and I will score two more inches of up travel. It would be almost 18" up front and i think i'd be pretty happy with it.

Here's a iPhone mount I made to hook to a suction cup mount. Now I can take vid and its a button push away from you tube.
