Full-Size Jeep Owners: Uwharrie Event in June!!!
June 3, 4 & 5th.
Some of you already know about this, so for those who haven't heard:

3rd Annual East Coast Invasion!

This is a 3-day event in Uwharrie National Forest in Troy, North Carolina (about an hour NE of Charlotte) that is specifically for Full Size Jeeps. BJ's Off-Road is paying for the group campsite fees (everyone camps for free), permit fee, and there will be tons of giveaways (BJ's Off-Road, TT's Fabworks, Warn, MileMarker, etc.), plus a few surprises. CNC4x4 will have an RTI ramp there with staff to help rate it.

We are also going to have a video crew and a professional photographer on-site to take pictures and gather footage for a future DVD for various trail runs. If you have an FSJ or know someone that does, encourage them to attend. It's a great weekend of fun, and there should be around 75 to 100 Full Size Jeeps in attendance (150-200 people, roughly). There are quite a few caravans being organized for those coming from other states / clubs.

The photographs will be gone through and quite a few will be in FSJ Magazine in a future issue covering the event. FSJ Magazine is available on the stands at most Barnes & Nobles, Books-a-Million and Borders stores, among others, in case you wanted to catch a magazine that is dedicated SOLELY to FSJ's.

Registration is free, as is most everything else for the event. You will only need to pay for your gas, food, supplies & the required trail passes ($5 a day, or $30 for a season's pass). There is also a possibility of a group cookout sponsored by S.O.R.A. (they would charge a few bucks a head for burgers/drinks/chips), but that hasn't been set in stone yet.

Registration is available here: FREE REGISTRATION.

If you have any questions or need more info, email me at [email protected].

Sounds like fun... Do you have any information on the trails they plan on running, could they be run with a stock XJ or one w/ a mild lift? Also what do you consider a full-size jeep?

There are trails from mild to semi-wild. You can run them with a stock or near stock xj, even on the semi-wild one (might be a little bumpy).

Full Size typically is for the SJ models. But, there are lots of our customers & attendees who will run XJ's.
