P1698 PCM fault, no CCD messages from TCM.

I'm assuming my TCM is canned or the wiring/connection is bad.

Where is this little bastard located?
Anybody got pics?

try the fuse for the tcm. some say it is located somewhere in the harness?

"The TCM is mounted under the instrument panel....at the driver side of the lower finish panel.

I'm not really sure where to get a pic to show you. Its Fig 58 in my manual, but I don't have it on digits. Looks like its mounted to the right of the lower interior light.

The fuse is "in" the wireing harness?
Im going to look for a fuse on the passenger side and in the engine compartment.

Does anyone know anyway of testing the tcm?

Clean and tighten all your grounds!!!! If any are bad/corroded replace them!!

97 ups don't have an inline tcm fuse.

The controller is located near the gas pedal, up under the dash. It should say asin warner on it.

I had a short and mine fried.
