Quick Seat question :)

actually 2 questions heh

1. will a 2000 model year seats work in a 1990 model XJ?

2. will the seat mounts for the 1990 model work or do i need the 2000 mounts? If they need 2000 model mounts will they bolt in or mods needed if i have the 2000 model year mounts?

I am sorry if this has been asked before etc, i did a search and didnt see anything off hand and wife throwing dinner all over me unless i get to table to eat it asap

They will fit, but you need to mod the brackets. Best bet (nicer seats also) would be some WJ seats. They bolt right in.

ARENT wj seats the same, mounting wise as post 96 xj seats?

'renix' brackets arent really renix, but rather pre 96....

wj and late model seats are the same, mounting wise iirc.

the above pics are what i did to get late xj seats to bolt to 'renix' brackets...

It is my understanding that the WJ seats are the same as pre-96 bracket wise. OR at least close to. 96+ XJ and ZJ are different tho.
