u-joint sizes

I have searched already, I think I know the answer but I still just want to confirm. I have found a non-disconnect front axle. It is in a 90 cherokee with ABS. I'm not sure what transfer case it has in it.There are tone rings on the axle shafts. Will this axle have the big u-joint shafts? Or did they start that later? Are they any better or worse than the later axles? Thanks...

ABS means big u-joint.

I have a 96 with NO ABS and I have the bigger U joints I found out the hard way

You have the bigger 297x joints if you have ABS.

and you have a 231 transfer case if you have the disco axle.

ABS means bigger joints, non ABS can be either depending on year.
