Lol Thats an awesome post. I can see where hes coming from I sold a XJ on craigslist 80% of the responses were scams. "I have a canadian cashiers check" "I'm buying for a friend in canada who cant make it" "will you ship to the uk?" "will you ship to Nigeria?"

All of my responses were "Vehicle will be purchased in person cash in hand. Drivers license required and will be on the bill of sale." that got rid of them all.
 
I have to say that the few times I've used CL I've had similar experiences. My rules are:
1. Set firm non-negotiable price. Rasie price if demand is high.
2. Meet where I say and I bring back up.
3. E-mail only. No phone # until deal sounds reasonable.

I'd defenitely use a clean version of that guys ideas.
