90 XJ sputters on accel

I have a 90 XJ 4.0 auto 4x4

It is hard to start, but starts every time.
After it is first started and you got to take off it will sputter and cut out if you do not feather the gas pedal. After it has warmed up no so much, but I have noticed that if you are barely into the pedal it is running rough once you give it some more gas it does fine.

TPS is new and adjusted
complete tune up is done

Where do I go next?

x2 with Wim, and you might want to check the CTS to see if you are getting the cold-start mode.

The fuel pressure is controlled by vacuum. So I would check all your vac lines for leaks. The pressure regulator could be bad too.

I would also check the IAC (idle air control).

Also you can try and unplug the CPS(crank position sensor) then plug it back in. If that has a bad connection it can cause a nostart and/or bad running/stumbling.
