What is this????

What is this and where does it go? It came off the motor somewhere when I pulled it. I can't remember for the life of me where I pulled it off of or even what exactally what it is.

My first thought is the oil pressure gauge/light sending unit...

I could easily be wrong though. Do you have an oil pressure gauge? If you do, and it's working, I'm wrong. (Also, I think you'd lose oil if the sending unit is out...)

You can visually check it, it's usually located on the side of the oil filter adapter.

Knock sensor. I screws into the driver side of the block toward the bottom about in the middle from front to back.
