What can I expect for typical city gas mileage? 15, 16, 19? It is a 95 XJ Manual everything no frills, stock sized tires too...

all depends on driving style. i would say from 14-17 is a good estimate

my 95 with 4.0 and auto got around 9-10 city when I first got it.
After some tuneups and fixes I get around 11-12 city with 7" lift and 32x11.50's.

Oh yea I forgot to mention that I had 3.55's.
After the tuneup and repairs on stock 235's and 30's I was getting 12-14 city.
My TPS was slightly bad but I did not replace it until I had 235's. I wonder what it would have done for me when I had the stock tires or the 30's. It really helped my power. With the old "bad" TPS my power was lacking a bit!!

I get 98 mpg city since it's that far to the nearest "city". I get about 16 overall "country". Up, down, dirt, asphalt, bumpy, smooth, rain, snow, hot, cold...whatever.

From what I have read, the manual gets much better gas mileage than the auto, at least if you drive it conservatively

I'm getting 16-21 city on a renix after some tunups. (depends on how much crap is in the back) I was getting 12-14 before hand (didn't seem to matter how much crap was packed in)
