HELP modifying RCX rock sliders

hey guys, I just picked up some slightly used RCX sliders for cheap.. I dont trust just mounting these to the weaka$$ uniframe that we have. I was thinking about picking up frame stiffiners and mounting them to that for added support.

But has anyone added a pinch seam support to these? it doesnt seem that difficult maybe some angle iron and flat stock? If anyone has done this or has some tech they wanna share would be much appreciated. I have tried searching but didnt come up with anything,.:repair:

angle iron will work fine. i have the same sliders. i put a piece of angle iron up against the seam and slider and it lines up great. just weld to slider and bolt to seam.

thanks leo! thats what i wanted to hear! would you be able to do me a favor and take a couple snap shot of how you mounted it to the slider?

havent had a chance to weld angle iron yet. dont have welder right now. i just mocked them up
