ok so i just bought a 231 w/ a jb sye this weekend...
i'm trying to figure out if i'll need to change up the input shaft or not, the case came from a 2.5L yj and i have a 1990 AW4 4.0,

that link shows the AX5 that came with the 2.5 has a short 21sp input and it says "AW4 (through 1990)" is this just hit or miss on my part due to the transition year? I've never replaced a tcase let alone open one to replace things. I do have a 23sp short input but i think i may need a medium input.. lazyness on my part there.
