Mercedes diesel in a XJ project- the adapter

Well I am almost done with my adapter to install my Mercedes 3.0 5 cylinder diesel in my

Cherokee, looking for a MJ.

I have bolt pattern clocked for both XJ or YJ / TJ / or Toyota (using a AW4 bellhousing),

but I can't check fit on the YJ, maybe later this year, maybe Toyota first.

Automatic only though, as I don't want to make a custom flywheel $$$$.

Would really like to see you get her done. This is something I have been thinking about for years. I would love to convert an XJ to Diesel. Good luck.
 
Is this the same 3.0 that is in the Grand Cherokee?

70's/80's Mercades 300D cars, if I'm assuming the correct engine. I know a guy with one of these powering his bus, running vegetable oil....
 
I want to see this! my friend was going to put a small Cummings in his yj, he had the motor and everything. but then he wrecked the yj and gave up.
 
i would love to see this. and heck, maybe even do it as well
