Okay I found the plug for the aux fan based on pictures ect.. Now I was going to rig it and still may do this so it functionsbut need to see if this idea is okay.
I found a plug off the harness not connected to anything but when I turn the key it gets power. So I thought take that wire and tap into it and tap into the power on the fan so it kicks on when the ignition kicks on. I of course would use an inline fuse. Two Questions:
1. What amp fuse
2. What could that plug be for? It is on the way to what appears to be the computer under the hood and is near the driver’s headlight.
If I go the fan switch route what relay or is any good? Never bought one.
And I have been told this is how to hook the relay up:
A relay has 4 contacts.
I need to ground the relay (that's number 85)
I need to power the relay (that's number 30)
I need to run a switch (that's number 86)
I need to run a wire to the fan motor (that's number 87)
Based on that I tap into the fan power and take that to number 87
I take a wire to the switch at 86
I ground the relay as close to the relay as possible with 85
Where do I get power for the relay? Battery?
