extending fuel lines

Can I extend fuel lines safely? My 89's fuel lines aren't long enough to reach the newer years intake's fuel rail return line. It looks it is rubber hose that goes to a steel tube that runs a ways under the jeep.

If it is just the return line you should be able to splice and hose clamp whatever you need as long as you use fuel rated hose obviously, there is minimal pressure there. I had a 89 dodge daytona that had rubber with hose clamps on both pressure and return from the factory, so I cannot see why this would not be the same, But i still would not trust it on the pressure side.

Fuel pressure only 40psi max. Air hoses are about 100 psi and they have no problem with holding. You should be fine.

On the pressure line 2 clamps and the return line only one.
