My question is.. has anyone ever bought stuff from them, what quality is it? Any place cheaper?

The JY's around here do not have 97+ XJ's only pre-96

for that price theyre probably chinese and made a little on the cheap side so take it from there they usually smaller gauge sheet metal

Probably aftermarket. There are many different brands and quality varies. I would try and find a local source so that you can check them out before buying. Price sounds about normal.

Well, I know that rockauto has recertified fenders for a little more than that place.

I think you have three choices in quality:

OEM: most expensive.

Certified: not sure if they still use this term, means it is certified to be the equal of OEM, a little less expensive but they still pay for the right to produce.

LKQ: Like Kind and Quality, often required by your economy insurance companies.

Cheapo: you get what you pay for. Usually very flexible due to thin gauge.
