water pump mounting

I just got a 93 ZJ for the wife for a great deal with a leaking water pump. I just got it apart and when I took the mounting bolt a 9 o'clock (passenger side of the shaft) out, fluid poured out the hole. It appears that the PO ran the one long bolt in the wrong hole and busted the casting on the inside.

What is the best way to fix it?

I don't think there is enough left on the back side to use jb weld. My initial instinct is to use rtv and a rubber washer on the bolt and see if that works.

Anyone else had this problem and successfully fixed it....or have any better ideas?

Thanks.

Many water pumps have bolts that run into the water jackets .In most cases some sealant on the threads works fine.Permatex #2 was the goo of choice,RTV may work also.
