When I turn the key to the off position it takes a second or two for the rig to shut off. I'm not talking about a spudering shut off problem when it shuts off it shuts off right away. This is a recent thing it use to shut off right away now takes a second or two. Its a 89 XJ if that helps any. I just don't know where to start looking for this one.

Maybe the remote rod/ignition switch adjustment is a bit off. Start there.
