Front seats from a 90 XJ to 87 XJ?

Guys,
I found a 90 XJ with excellent interior, console and overhead console.
The shifter and 4wd look the same, just wondering if the front seats are the same mount as the 87 XJ? I am a few hundred miles from home, so didnt want to take the chance.
One of the seat frames is broken so i cant swap the seats on the existing frame.

As long as they are both the regular style seats, you should be good to go. If either one has the "rocker/recliner" feature, it will not swap to a regular seat frame.

I plan on using the full seat and frame as the frame in my jeep is broken.

Then you should be ok, no matter what kind of seat the 90 has in it.

When you say frame are you speaking of the pedestal?

I have read that some of the Mustang seats will attach quite nicely to the XJs seat pedestals.
