AC Bypass Pulley

just leave it in then and use the existing belt

I would like to free up the space in the engine compartment and take the load of the compressor off of the engine.

Looks the same as the factory part I got from the dealer.......no issues.

Goatman, what are the true benefits of doing this modification?

No A/C compressor. :dunno:

That's all I know, if you want to remove your compressor you get one of these brackets and use the stock belt.

The compressor does not place a load on the engine unless you have it activated by turning on your A\C or defroster. It has a clutch that disengages it from turning the compressor. This may be a good option if you sieze your compressor, but until then, forget you have it.

just grab an a/c delete pulley at the junkyard... maybe put a new bearing in it, and call it done.

or even better, move your alternator to the a/c bracket...
