JB Conversions SYE - Seal Replacement

I was wondering exactly what I need to do to replace the seal on the tail cone housing of JB Conversion's SYE kit? Do I need to put a sealant between the outer edge of the seal and the housing as well?

I emailed them and they gave me the part number "National #472572".

This is the seal I'm talking about:

A thin layer of RTV probably wouldn't hurt, it'd take care of any minor imperfections in the mating surfaces.

It is not necessary to use a sealant but a very thin film of sealant probably wouldn't hurt.

Alright, so it turns out JB gave me the wrong part number for the seal. The seal was way to small compared to the one that came with the kit.

Do you guys know the number for the rear output seal for their NP231J HD Standard SYE?

I don't know the part number but I can't seem to get that damn seal to quit leaking on mine. I have replaced it twice and it still seeps out from there.
