I need to install a new breather fitting in my axle axle (HP30). I pulled out a metal fitting from one of the junk axles I have lying around (LP30).
It appears to push into the breather hole. It's fairly tight but there is nothing on it to positively keep it from popping out.
Is there something that I should apply between the housing and the fitting? RTV or something?
