First off,

I want to say I am sorry to all the people that I Hi-Jacked pics and threads from...

I am trying to build Rocksliders.

I have a '92 XJ 4.5" Lift and lil bit 'o' rust...pics here:

So as you can see I have several problem areas...But my concern today is the rocker panel.

I have already cut more metal out since those pics and acquired some steel but I have a slight problem...

I got 3x6x1/4(in between 1/4 and 5/16 depending on where you measure it) rectangular tubing.

Is that too thick? I have done some research and most of the time "everyone" uses 3/16 materials.

I would really like to fab up some sliders like his:

I have also noticed that "everyone" uses 2x4 or 2x5...

But I am hoping that with the extra height of mine it will come down far enough to use stand-off's that tie into the frame rail like these:

Let me know what you think...

I am open to all suggestions...

Thanks, Garrett

I'm going to replace the rockers with 2x6x.120

If it works for URF, it'll work for me.
