removing steering shaft from steering box?

hey everybody

im going to drill my steering box soon for hydro assist soon. i know how everythings supposed to go, except how to pull the steering shaft out of the steering box

anybody?

You just take some pry bar, or a flat screwdriver, and after you loosen the bolt on the collar, you just pry it away from the box.

What year do you have? Make sure you keep your steering wheel pointed straight, and don't turn it around while its off, you could mess up the clock spring.

Use a large screwdriver. Prythe gap on the contrctting yolk open some. Then just pry it off.

I'm pretty sure the bolt has to come completely out... It rides in a groove on the input shaft and acts as a safety.

ive got a 95 with airbags, so im pretty sure ill have to watch out for the clock spring
