tcase tail cone question

will a np 231 tail cone fit a 242????

I believe i may have made a mistake I bought a hack n tap with a short tailcone but i didnt ask what kinda tcase it came off of .

that sux.

just so we have it right, this is the piece at the back of the 96 and up tcase where the speedo gear is.

can it be modified to fit?

what are my options for buying a seal and flange to fit my current case then, it is a 91 np242? will RE sell me just the seal and flange?

I just want to know about stock for stock, not an SYE. Just the rear-most tailcone peice that is shaped like a true cone.
