pinion seal question

I need to replace the pinion seal on my 1999 XJ Dana 30 - it's a high pinion.

The part store said I need the seal for 99-01 (which they didn't have anyways) I think they're wrong so I bought the part for xx-98 because I know that the 00 & 01 are low pinion.

Can anyone confirm that for me? I got Timken part # 5778

Yes, that is the right part number. AFAIK the seal is the same for all Dana 30s, regardless of high or low pinion.

It is also the same seal we use on the rear Dana 44, BTW.
