ok , 92 XJ Heater Controls w/AC i get my defrosters to blow hot air, but its not blowing out of the dash vents or the floor, trying to troubleshoot this but strikin out........ :flame:

Good question...... where would i find this? my heaters have always worked, never dug into this type of thing......feelin kinda dumb lol

the gates to direct air up or down are under the dash, but they are vac driven. The vac reservoir is located behind the bumper. Vac system leaks or a sticky door will also cause these problems.

would the defroster still blow even if it was disconnected?

does the AC blow out of the front vents or only the defrost as well?

the AC pump isnt hooked up and if i switch to it, it does the same thing

then one of 3 things is wrong
1 the door is stuck
2 you have a vac leak
3 the control switch is clogged

well i traced the vaccume line to where the rez should be.....................NO REZ!! hasta thinkin that could be the problem
just a cut line , since i have an aftermatket bumper on there

Ya, about that...... i just plugged it off,, works like a charm, but is there any chain reaction involved by doing that? cause it works sweet ....lol
if i replace it , i will have it mounted under the hood

At large throttle opening, the vacuum goes down. The tank is a reservoir so that the vents don't change when you floor it.

Hallo. The last time my blower stops, it was the connector under the radio.
The connector from the regulator was broken loose, because I pushed the radio into the dash too hard. :spin1:
