Trailmaster SSV DUAL STABILIZER 7206

the camber being out of spec will definately effect your steering. Put the new axle in, align it, and see how it feels.

If you have everything set up correctly you dont even need a SS!

I installed a lift and the steering is now "sloppy" around 45mph and 60mph. Trailmaster offers a duel steering stabilizer and was wondering if it was worth it. Wanted to know if anybody had any experience with it before?

Okay first off, stabilizers are bandaids like they mentioned, secondly, a stabilizer will not help "sloppy steering"... here are some common steering ailments and the problems that could cause them, by sloppy im assuming oyu mean play in steering, so check your TREs and stuff, NOT your stabilizer

Play in steering wheel: could be worn TREs, high lift, track bar,etc
Vibration: unbalanced tires, worn bearings, etc
Death Wobble: worn bushings, unbalanced tires, old bearings, bent tubes
Shimmy: worn bushings, unbalanced tires, old bearings, bent tubes
Wandering: Incorrect castor/camber, improperly balanced tires, tires missing lugs, etc

Anywho, a stabilizer will mask shimmying and help reduce deathwobble, NOT sloppy steering..

Perheps others can chime in with my list? Im sure im forgetting some stuff i just threw that up there to make a point

Well, with the next axle that will be going in I purchased RE's adjustable track bar - hopefully that will eliminate the play in the steering wheel, from what you're saying emr1101
