Most people prefer a 12.5" wide tire on a 8" rim, it allows for better air down provides better rim gard since the tire will bulge more...

I don't know anybody who runs a 12.50" tire on a 10" rim. It will be safer to air down...less chance to unseat the tire.

I run 13.50's on 8" wheels and have never had a problem.

Yeah you'll be fine. I was running 32x11.50 bfg m/t on 15x8 steelies for about 3 years no problems. i just upgraded recently to 33x12.50 warngler MTR on 15x8 steelies. Have aired down to about 8psi several times with no problems. I say DO IT!!!!

the rule of thumb is 4 times rim width, so on a 8" rim 12.50 is max.most tire shops won't put a 13.50 on a 8" rim.
