94 and earlier flares on 97+

I found a cheap (= FREE) set of flares off of an 89.. my 98 is Flareless not trimmed yet.... could I use the 89's....

and I have searched...

Do you have stock bumpers? The real difference appears to be where flare meets bumper, so I think you'll have a problem there. But if you have the flares, you ought to be able to lay them up against the fenders and see how they'll work.
