The doors come off on the trail for visibility and to keep them from getting beat up... I prefer to keep them off all the time but they are nice to have for longer road trips as they cut down on the wind quite a bit. Not to mention my wife won't ride in it without doors...

My wife wont ride in my XJ at all. She has only been it it one time and that was in a blizard. And it was the only way she could get to work.
