drive shaft and axle question

I have the opportunity to take a SYE and front shaft(being used as a rear) off a 2001 with a D35 rear RE 4.5 kit

I have a chrysler rear my my xj is a 96 I have the RE 3.5 kit

would this shaft conversion work? or would the length needed for my drive shaft be longer or shorter than this other rig?

as long as the transfer case is the same you should be ok you might need different rear ujoint not sure but those are to get

What kind of SYE, Hack and Tap or a Heavy Duty with the new tail cone and output shaft ? I have an RE H&T with XJ front driveshaft on my NP231 - Chry 8.25 with RE 3.5" lift.

it is the full kit..

I dont know why someone would just do a H&T.. only saves you about $40

I got a deal on a used RE H&T flange and got the Spicer 211229X adapter at dealer cost. Plus, no shipping on either one.
