Cant shift into 4H, N or 4L. Could my large hub ring reversed be the problem?????

I just put in a new SYE kit and forgot which direction the hub ring goes on. Is it possible that i have it on wrong and thats why I cant shift into 4WD? The rear driveshaft spins just fine.

when I did mine I had to shorten the shifter shaft otherwise it wouldnt shift

check your linkage alot of people have problems with their linkage especially the bushings

Check your transmission mount as well. An old, sloppy trans mount allows the drivetrain to move around under torque, making shifting into and staying in 4wd dicey.

looks like the problem is its already in 4wd and I must have had it in 4wd when i took it apart but taken it out before i put it back together. guess i get to start over.
