Xj shuts off at cruzzing speeds?

:exclamati:repairlease help my xj will shut off at cruzzing speeds usually when it is at a low rpm or sometimes at a high rpm. but the engine would shut off and rairly it would start up again.. when i start the xj it cranks i have changed my fuel pump and filter and i tested my altanator and battery everything looks rite. if you have any clue of what this problem is please reply!! i am a newb but im gessing it is a sensor that is on the throttle boddy due to my intake and tbs it sounds like it is bogging out ... aka newby

crap that sucks, I would have said go after the fuel pump but you already did.

when it didnt start, did you test for fuel or spark?

1994 xj 4.0 and no i didnt test for fuel or spark that would have been smart thou..

JB you ding dong i told you not to replace the fuel pump listen to me next time. oh and thank god you are taking an english class :shocked: let me know when you want to change that CPS out, its easy, just a pain in the ass cause of where it is.
